WR FAQs
How are wide receiver fantasy points calculated?
In standard scoring: 1 point per 10 receiving yards, 6 points per receiving TD, -2 per fumble lost. PPR adds 1 point per reception (0.5 in half-PPR), which is the dominant scoring driver for high-volume slot receivers.
What is a good fantasy week for a WR?
15+ points is a strong WR week in PPR. 20+ is elite. Slot WRs with 8+ catches floor at 12 PPR points before any TDs — making target volume more predictive than yards.
Why do slot WRs benefit most from PPR?
Slot receivers run shorter, higher-percentage routes and catch more passes. A slot WR with 9 catches earns 9 PPR points before yardage. That volume floor is unmatched outside of pass-catching RBs.
